line ‒ from his
1905 book Reason in Common Sense:
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
But hold on. Wasn’t that one of Churchill’s? Or was it John
Buchan?
Actually, it was the Dublin-born philosopher Edmund Burke in
the 18th century who wrote:
Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it.
